About the job...
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Software Developer to join a leading global provider of Treasury products and services for banks. As an experienced Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing features on a business application web solution. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining various web application components to meet the business's and its users' needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical system that directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations.
What will you do?
Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features and functionalities using Java technology. You will be involved in all software development life cycle stages, from conception to deployment. This includes reviewing, modifying, and maintaining existing code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise and apply fixes to ensure a smooth user experience. You will also work with databases and data models to ensure seamless data integration and retrieval, as well as optimize database queries for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science from a leading institute or an equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience as a Java programmer in web application development
- Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)
- Object-oriented programming knowledge (e.g. C++, Visual Basic or similar programming skills
- Strong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
- Experience working with databases and SQL (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Strong experience with message queues like Kafka, SNS, and SQS
