Toronto, Canada, December 17, 2021 – Surecomp® has today announced that it successfully secured customer productivity enabling business as usual, within 48 hours of the Log4j issue being identified last Friday. Every banking customer using Surecomp’s Java-based solution has been upgraded with a patch to mitigate the risk of any unforeseen cybersecurity breach.

One of the most compromising IT security flaws in recent times, the latest version of the Log4j framework was found to be vulnerable to hackers potentially accessing data, installing malware and taking remote control of computers.

“The security of our solutions is always top of mind,” explains Yaron Hupert, Surecomp’s SVP Account Management. “Our fast reaction in assessing and developing the required solution, once again demonstrated our agility and ensured our customers experienced little to no disruption. As of today, all our systems are back up and fully available. We will continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure an uninterrupted business operation going forward.”
